The Gartner report provides Gartner’s vision on what the digital workplace of the future is: the ‘Unified Workspace’.
“The digital workplace enables new and more effective ways of working. It also raises employee engagement and agility, and exploits consumer-oriented styles and technologies. The digital workplace is an all-encompassing reality touching every aspect of IT, including mobile and end-user computing (EUC) organizations.”
“A recent Gartner survey indicated that 61% of EUC organizations identified modernizing legacy applications as the biggest hurdle they face in changing their endpoint strategies…This is the target market of workspace aggregators. Their goal is to provide a simplified, consistent mechanism for creating unified workspaces across operating systems, device types and screen sizes.”
