CUSTOMER SUPPORT ENGINEER

We are looking for a talented and competitive colleague to join our Customer Success team as a full-time Pre-Sales / Customer Success engineer. This role is a highly varied position at an International Software Vendor that requires both technical and sales skills. We are looking for someone with at least 2-3 years of technical or pre-sales experience in the world of digital workplaces (Citrix, VMware, Microsoft RDS, WVD, … )

The main responsibilities are to help our own sales teams but also our partners in successfully signing up and onboarding customers onto the Awingu software. This includes helping them during the pre-sales calls/meetings but also setting up technical proof-of-concepts at end-customers and technical follow-up of the larger customers during their complete Awingu experience. The goal of the customer success team is to make sure the Customer has not only a great product but also a great experience.

Awingu is an ever-evolving product with an ever-evolving customer base. Because of this you can be assured that you will have access to, and challenges dealing with a large variety of technologies in a large variety of environments.

What are your responsibilities as an Pre-Sales / Customer Success Engineer?
      • Understanding customer needs and technical requirements.
      • Pitch / Demo Awingu to a (technical) audience at an end-customer & partner. Explain the advantages of an Awingu compared to solutions of competition.
      • Validate if Awingu is a valid solution for the customer need. Identify the potential technical difficulties. Where needed help in finding solutions or workarounds for these difficulties.
      • Be the primary point of contact for potential customers during pre-sales phase for all technical questions they might have.
      • Advice sales team on the estimated win rate of a potential. Help them on identifying right deals.
      • Make sure proof of concepts at customers & partners are successful:
        • Make sure they have all needed information to start.
        • If needed help them during the setup
        • Validate the setup before go-live
      • Understand and document solutions from competition.
The ideal candidate
    • Experience in an IT Pre-Sales role for a software company.  If no pre-sales experience at least hands on experience as engineer in the domain of workplace management. Basically, you know how to setup and configure at least one of these products Citrix XenApp/Desktop, VMWare Horizon or Windows RDS.
    • Enthusiastic personality and Entrepreneurship:  Understand the customer needs, think larger then only Awingu part and look at the full picture of the customer, be creative in finding technical solutions or workarounds for customers that have specific needs that cannot be covered with the standard Awingu features, …
    • Has a positive and professional attitude. Somebody who takes initiative and is result-oriented. Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
    • A fast and enthusiastic learner
    • Enjoys working with people and is a team player but who can also work independently and with limited supervision.
    • Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Fluent in English (written & spoken). The ideal candidate speaks next to English another language preferably Italian, German, Spanish or Portuguese.
    • Strong listening and presentation skills
