Can I use multiple monitors (screens) in Awingu?
End-users can use multiple (physical) monitors with Awingu, and this without needing a local agent or installer. Everything runs from within the browser.
There are 3 options:
- Use the Display Manager, add add new monitors. This is useful, for example, when working with a published full desktop. Up to 16 monitors are supported. The underlaying Windows OS will also get the same multi-screen context for optimal user experience. (as of Awingu 4.3)
End-users can use multiple (physical) monitors with Awingu, and this without needing a local agent or installer. Everything runs from within the browser.
- Choose to ‘open in new window’: this opens specific application session in a new tab. The new tab can be moved to a different monitor
From the Awingu Polygon, or the context menu (right click) click ‘open in new window’
- Stretch the browser over multiple screens: this can be convenient when working with large databases or xls files. This does require using monitors with a similar size and resolution. (as of Awingu 4.1)
Stretch the browser across 2 or more monitors
- Users that are equipped with Awingu 5.0 can also save their multi-monitor configuration(s) to save time; e.g. create multiple display configurations (e.g. home office setup and office setup). Upon start-up of an application (or desktop) the user can choose a configuration which will be launched. Only the browser windows will need to be dragged to their physical monitor.
