As of March 2021, Awingu is ISO 27001 certified. With this certification, our company proves that its IT security processes are carefully regulated. The ISO certification is a positive message for Awingu as a company, but for our partners and customers as well: it confirms that we maintain an airtight lock on our (internal) and your (as a transacting party) data.
The ISO27001 certification matches Awingu’s philosophy, objectives and ambitions. As our company grows, so does our client base and the need to safeguard their data. Additionally, we highly value internal processes and compliance. Those have been put in place to guarantee information security, which has always been a priority at Awingu, in a structural way – and this certification formalises those efforts. It is a continuous process of structurally guaranteeing and improving our data security. In other words, becoming ISO 27001 certified helps Awingu become a secure and efficient company that strives for excellence.
The ISO 27001 standard is an internationally recognized standard that provides requirements for implementing, maintaining and continuously improving an information security management system. It focuses on three pillars: the availability, integrity and confidentiality of information. The certification process was carried out by BSI Group and consists of two phases. In the first phase, the documentation study, we zoomed in on all the necessary policies and procedures. In the second phase, the certification audit, BSI Group used various interviews with directors, managers and employees to determine that the documentation described is actually being applied and that the organization is aware of the importance of information security and wants to continuously improve itself.
