The Villa Berica Nursing Home – healthcare facility of the GHC spa group – is based in Vicenza and is accredited with the National Health System. It is considered a specialist center of excellence with a focus on general surgery and internal medicine and provides healthcare services for the diagnosis and treatment of numerous surgical, medical and rehabilitation pathologies, both inpatient and outpatient. The facility is also a national reference center for diabetes prevention and treatment.

The technological implementation
Villa Berica has implemented the remote access solution for over 70 doctors and operators, who can work both from the clinic and from the private practice, using their own personal devices on which no software has been installed and using a simple browser; this allows maximum freedom of choice of devices by users guaranteeing their “independence & autonomy”, also relieving the IT team of Villa Berica from possible critical situations due, for example, to the imposition of a client software on the same devices, the remote management of SW for VPN or other. Security is guaranteed by the HTTPS connection and the two-factor authentication system.
Awingu hooks into the existing Microsoft AD infrastructure and then connects with RDP protocol to the application servers, both on site and in the Data Center, as well as to the available network shares."

L’implementazione tecnologica
Villa Berica ha implementato la soluzione di acceso remoto per oltre 70 medici ed operatori, che possono lavorare sia dallo studio in clinica che dallo studio privato, utilizzando i propri dispositivi personali su cui non è stato installato alcun SW ed utilizzando un semplice browser; questo consente la massima libertà di scelta dei dispositivi da parte degli utenti garantendo la loro “indipendenza & autonomia”, sgravando inoltre il team IT di Villa Berica da possibili situazioni di criticità dovute ad esempio all’imposizione di un SW client sugli stessi dispositivi, la gestione remota di SW per VPN o altro. La sicurezza è garantita dalla connessione HTTPS e dal sistema di autenticazione a due fattori.
Awingu si aggancia all’infrastruttura Microsoft AD esistente e quindi si connette con protocollo RDP ai server applicativi, sia on site, che in Data Center, nonché alle share di rete disponibili."
